There are hints scattered around thoughout, in terms of repeating sounds through levels, some connected visuals and themes, but it’s up to you as to how you think it all fits together. The story is left very much to the player to interpret, there is zero dialogue in the game, and only some secret Dream Journals to find, which obviously stress the fact that Lloyd is asleep, but they add nothing to the plot. I say presumably, because very little is explained in Darq, and that’s not a bad thing. At this point, he literally has an out of body experience and is presumably transported to some nightmare world of his sleep where he needs to try and escape. You play as Lloyd, who starts the game in his rundown house, and the only thing he can do is go to bed. Roadmap Step 1 – Complete Chapter 1-7 and collect everythingįirst, play through the game and collect everything.Darq looks at first glance like a surreal, creepy horror game in the same vein as Limbo and Inside, but at it’s heart it is really an intricate puzzler wrapped up in a dark art style with some nasty scares in there to keep you on your toes. There is one Dream Journal Page in Chapter 1-6 you have to find (No collectibles in Chapter 7) You will get a trophy for each Dream Journal Page.

Also, you can find three secret encounters with a bag-headed boy. Step 2 – Complete the Extra Level The Tower You also have to make the Off Camera trophy.ĭuring this step you will unlock these trophies: You will get Perceptive for finding all of them. “The Tower” is an Extra Level you can find in the Main Menu at any time. It has two trophies you can unlock in this Chapter. One is for completing the Pyramid Stacking Puzzle with the least amount of moves required. The second one is for completing the Level in under 6 minutes, which can be a little bit tricky. So make sure you practice the level a little bit. Step 3 – Complete the Extra Level The Crypt “The Crypt” is an Extra Level you can find in the Main Menu at any time. It has five trophies you can unlock in this Chapter. Three of them are related to the 4 hidden Skulls you can find in this level. One is for completing the Scissor Puzzle in under 15 seconds. The last one you will unlock is Crypt Runner for completing the level in under 12 minutes. This speedrun is easier than the Tower Speedrun, but also you need to know the level very well. It is impossible to collect all skulls during your speedrun, so you have to split it into 2 runs. ► You will unlock this trophy after completing the final chase and ending the game in Chapter 7. See the video guide you can find in the Roadmap for all Puzzle Solutions, all Collectibles, and all Trophies in the game. ► Chapter 6 – At the beginning of the level. In the room where you can spin the whole room on a valve. Walk to the far right side where you can find the Compass and walk up the wall. Follow the path and you will come to a puzzle room where you can find the Magnet. Use the lever on the left side of the room and pull it down. Now you stand in front of a room with a bird-headed enemy in it. Don’t go inside this room, instead, walk up the wall at the right side and follow the path until you stand in front of the Journal Page.

► Chapter 5 – After solving the Rotating Camera Puzzle at the end of the level, (see Off Camera for more information on that) use the lever on the right side of the puzzle to close the door to the room. Walk up on the wall to the ceiling and follow the path to the end to find the Journal Page hanging on the wall. ► Chapter 4 – After solving all puzzles and turning the big electricity lever down. Before turning to the left and ending the level use the small lever and move to the back, so you turn the level 90 degrees.
